Jamie Caldwell is a Marketing Manager at Summit Fix, where she specialises in light fixtures and has somehow found herself involved in considerably more than light fixtures. Competent, approachable and generally well-liked, Jamie is the sort of colleague people actively request for projects. She meets deadlines, gets along with almost everyone and has never felt the need to describe herself as a thought leader.
Jamie believes work should be enjoyable, colleagues should support one another and meetings should ideally have a purpose. She's known for her dry sense of humour, practical approach to problems and occasional contributions to the office biscuit supply. As a working mum to a six-year-old son, Jamie has developed a healthy perspective on what constitutes an actual emergency. She is particularly good at distinguishing between situations that require immediate attention and situations that could have been an email. Or, preferably, nothing at all.
Jamie works closely with Elle Morgan, with whom she shares a friendship built on mutual respect, creative collaboration and an increasingly extensive collection of screenshots. They have developed an efficient system for discussing matters that don't necessarily benefit from wider organisational visibility.
Despite being perfectly happy in her role, Jamie occasionally finds herself drawn into workplace situations she neither initiated nor particularly understands. She has discovered that being reasonable does not always prevent someone else from raising a formal concern.
Outside work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, catching up with friends and having conversations that don't require an agenda, minutes or an action tracker. She would quite like to get through a working week without being mentioned in somebody else's development conversation.
